Easter Weekend! A time of celebration!
Dye a few eggs (where plastic gloves, this wife has walked around with colorful egg-dyed fingers for days before)!
Eat a few PEEPS (oh they are wonderful marshmallowy tasty treats)!
Remember what the real reason is we celebrate EASTER!
Get out and enjoy the SPRING weather (even if it is a little brisk…it is better than snow)!
The drive to Starbucks is silent, without sound or music. It is a time to recollect left behind thoughts from yesterday and a time to begin sorting through the day ahead. The process is strenuous for the wee morning hours as to which the drive is taking place…in front of my eyes lives a light fog…blocking any clarity that could be stretching to get through.
As the shop comes into view…my coffee loving heart slightly skips a beat and the perk it will soon provide starts to stir somewhere deep. As I step out of my vehicle I take quick steps and then in an instant, I slow quickly…the vibrant smell of freshly ground coffee tickles my nose and taste buds. It is smell so distinctive and comforting, even those who lack the appreciation for this finely brewed beverage recognize the smell and associate it with warmth.
The smile of the Baristas adds to the thrill of moving into line to place your order. When I reach the counter and speak the language of coffee, others within listening distant slightly nod their heads and the corners of their mouth slightly turn up as they respect and praise your choice. When they ask, “and the whip is okay” and I smile and nod, the coffee cheerleaders in my head scream “we love the whip, we love the whip!” I step to the pick-up counter and wait my turn for the paper cup of near perfection.
The noise of the steaming milk and the sounds of the grinding coffee fill my ears…the lid is added and the sleeve is slipped over the bottom of the cup. The happy Barista calls my drinks name and with the excitement of a 5-year-old in a candy store but the composure of a professional adult using all matured restraint I quickly reach the counter to take the drink. Ah, ah, ah…no sips yet…just hold it and treasure it. As I put the vehicle in reverse and head to my destination, I finally take my first sip…and the wait is well worth it. The sweet and robust flavor hits my tongue and makes its way down my throat and into my every so happy coffee-loving-tummy…oh the splendid joy of the venti caramel mocha.
It is with the next few minutes, my eyes lighten in color, my somber appearance fades and the joyous spirited girl I have always known is back to life…filled to the brim with the joys of the day and the treasures that are yet to come; in all honesty, with the continued flow of this beverage, I am most sure I can take on the world. Shall we try?
Happy Wife SPRING-kind-of-day!
Time goes by in a blur…it does in this little “wifeville”. Is it okay if I share a few updates with all you wives?
My husband and I sold our house, we bought a new one, we are trying to pack to move out of the old one, we have to store our items until the new one is ready, in the mean time both of our real jobs are demanding…and to add to the stress, I volunteered (very willingly) to be in a upcoming musical (can I say, the hills are alive)! ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT, my blog has been resting as the new “facelift” begins to take shape…it is so stink’n adorable! I heart it, every piece of it (can’t wait to share)!
So in the mean time…a few things to keep all of you wives on your toes…
1) Spring cleaning is now officially HERE (checklists coming soon)…
2) Spring cleaning your house is great, but how about a SPRING CLEANING of your health? (Also, coming soon)!
3) A few delightful Spring treats (this wife just has to share)!
4) Spring means out with the dreary of BLACK and GRAY and DARK colors of winter clothing and in with the NEW and Springy!
5) A husband and his dedication to his happy wifey! Oh, this one will be sweet!
SO, in the meantime (until new blogs come along)…Being Wife is downing the Caramel Mocha’s, laying awake at night brainstorming ideas and preparing for a full SPRING over-haul soon!

Yesterday, this wife viewed the FIRST mock-up of the new and improved BEING WIFE! It made me feel all happy-wife inside! Cannot wait to share…soon!

Happy Wife Day! Today is a GREAT DAY to be a wife! How exciting!
This wife has a hubby who will once in a while share bits of “wife knowledge” to…
A) Keep this wife on her toes
B) Remind this wife why she is so lucky and
C) Because the hubby wants something
This wife was busy making lists of all the FUN upcoming SPRING CLEANING Projects…dusting, floor scrubbing, window screens…when right in the middle of my GREAT thought process the hubby pipes in and says…“Can you add the TOASTER to that list, it never gets cleaned!”
Oh hubby, hubby, hubby! Haven’t you learned to never interrupt a wife’s good going thought process?!? Now that my planning was interrupted I so kindly responded, “Pretty sure when we were given that toaster, you were so excited you told me to never touch it…that it was your toaster?” The smirk on my face clearly meant the wife was teasing which provoked a smirk from the hubby’s face as well! Ahhh, married life! 
Why is the hubby so in love with our toaster? BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH MORE THAN A TOASTER! It is an all-in-one Egg-in-Muffin/Toast Toaster! YES, the ultimate man toaster, it can assist you in making your own egg “mc” muffin sandwich (right in the middle of your morning coffee and comfortable PJ’s)!
Long story short, this wife has added the “toaster” to the Spring Cleaning List…not because I want to, because I know it will make the hubby happy (and keep those hot egg-muffin sandwiches coming every Saturday morning)!
Does the wife dare even speak the words…SPRING CLEANING?
This SPRING, the wife will be cleaning, cleaning, organizing and organizing. Making a home that I am proud of but the hubby can be proud of too! Trying new products, “new” techniques (some old, some trendy, some never tried before) and sharing all the good details a wife would enjoy!
